The Liverpool Echo and Daily Post have confirmed the story about the young girl held down by three hooded lowlife whilst a fourth raped her.
It transpires that the victims family are not happy with the police efforts to track down this dangerous group of beasts who would rape a child in broad daylight. The family and friends have set out to try and track down the rapists themselves.
The rape took place in broad daylight when the 15yr old was walking to a shop between 1pm and 2pm on September 8th. This was a Saturday. The 15 yr old was dragged down an alley off Fordlea Way. She was told that if she made any noise, she would be hurt even more.
These animals need to be caught.

The Daily Post reports….
“THE family of an alleged teenage rape victim launched their own investigation into her ordeal, claiming police efforts were “incompetent, inefficient and arrogant.”
Relatives last night fought back tears as they recounted how the 15-year-old schoolgirl said she was held down by three hooded males in an alleyway, while she was raped by a fourth 19 days ago.
Since then, the child’s grandmother says the family has become so frustrated by Merseyside police’s “lack of interest” in the alleged attack, that they have personally interviewed witnesses and recovered video footage they believe may hold important evidence.
Merseyside police last night said it would appoint a senior officer to review the force’s investigation, after the Daily Post highlighted the family’s concerns.”
Ask yourself if a policewoman or Cherie Blair had been raped - would we have seen a story appear in the Echo 19 days later?
Other offences, trivial compared to rape, are reported on the police website, sometimes the next day.
There is no logic or reason to the police website in this respect. It is their duty, to serve the public. This means keeping us informed as to which serious crimes being committed.
There is no reason why an interactive map could not be shown, with red glowing dots in areas currently plagued by scum.
There is no reason why all violent assaults and rapes are not listed, with as much detail as we can give to catch the perpetrators.
Chopper Read on women beaters and rapists….
“You low weak gutless mice. Be afraid, because if you come to jail, you’ve got every reason to be afraid.”
Below, Chopper speaks out - we need more of Liverpool reformed gangland figures to speak out on rape….
Maybe put up a reward or just send a few of the lads to interview the usual suspects.

Nobody gives a toss about gang rape
The headline is the police’s own words.
From the Guardian
As the Metropolitan police reopen 2,000 cases in a major investigation into gang rape, Rose George reports on a grim taboo.
A year ago, I wrote an article in Guardian Weekend about gang rapes, tournantes, in France. In interviews, I confidently told people that nothing similar was happening in the UK. I was wrong. Last year, the following allegations were reported in the press: the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in Bedford by four men aged 17-19 (the police decided not to proceed); the rape of a 12-year-old girl by four teenagers in Feltham (all were acquitted); the rape of an 18-year-old by three paratroopers who, it was said, recorded the incident on their mobile phones (no charges were brought). A group of young men in Greenwich filmed their “rape” of a 15-year-old schoolgirl and entitled the video Lethbridge X-rated Part One (they pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse).
This year, the Old Bailey heard the case of seven men accused of raping an 18-year-old at gunpoint “as a punishment”. The girl said she had been kept prisoner in a flat in Sudbury, Suffolk, where one man told her, “If you want to go home, you have to do me and my friends.” After two trials (the first was thrown out for legal reasons) lasting eight weeks, the jury decided the girl wasn’t telling the truth, despite the evidence of an electricity bill that proved the address of the flat.
In December last year, in a modern courtroom in the Old Bailey, a gang rape trial is being played out before a press bench containing one journalist. Me. The nation’s media are filling a nearby court to hear a particularly scandalous murder case, but, in the words of a senior police officer, “nobody gives a toss about gang rape”. The case concerns a winter night two years ago, when the two girls and the three accused boys were together in a London park.

“a feature of gang life was gang rape”
“I grew up in and around the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago. Port of Spain, to be exact. It was littered with youth gangs of the third and fourth generation. I was a member of Style Crampers. There were others - Fallen Angels, Spike Jones, City Kids, Navarone and more. And a feature of gang life was gang rape. Betty Punjab lived next door to us. Her mother baked the most wonderful sponge cakes, and Betty went around door to door selling them on Saturday afternoons. She was lured to a derelict house, where members of Style Crampers had their way with her, and for a week or so she was passed from gang to gang. That was 40 years ago, and it continues there to this day.
My father, the late Reverend Cipriani Howe, usually quiet and reserved, suddenly exploded at Betty’s ordeal. His single word echoes to this day. He pointed his index finger at me and said: “Never.” I’ve passed it on to my 14-year-old son. And that is all.”
That’s from Darcus Howe - More Here
Here’s advice from Darcus to arm your daughters with an ice pick….
“Now the issue has returned to haunt those who babbled “racism” upon the identification of a dangerous phenomenon in the black community. Had they spent their energies then in support of Channel 4 and used their resources to plaster south London with posters decrying gang rape, then perhaps the frequency of this heinous crime would have been greatly reduced. I sat my daughter down and told her that it would be reasonable to carry an ice pick in her backpack and, should she be attacked, to close her eyes and sink it deeply in the assailant’s head.”
Seems a good idea for rapists.
I personally don’t see any more than a few sick bast**** in Liverpool thinking gang rape ought to be part of the rule of terror.
Gang Rape was NEVER part of the culture in Liverpool and it needs to be stopped dead in it’s tracks before we start to see Nogsy and Crock ‘eds’ and other budding gang-bangers in various areas raping at will.
We appeal to anyone who can help the family of this latest gang rape victim out, to do so.
Plenty of people in Liverpool can help out with these things.
give them a bag of coke laced with pottasium cyanide.
Incidently if the echo confimed it why have’t they published it?Is it an 08 whitewash?Scared of losing tourists?Make your site so it can upload audio files and i’ll give you something that will blow 08 out of the water.
What sort of a city has Liverpool become?

The Echo published a small article taking up 10% of page 2. A few people missed it. The Daily Post published the article in full.

One of the many complaints is that…
“The owner of the house outside which the alleged rape happened has never been contacted by police;”
Grandmother of victim
Hello spit
Thank you for showing concern regarding the rape of my granddaughter.
We are still trying to get the police to do their job and will not give up trying to find out who these monsters are.
People have a right to know what’s going on in their area.
I have only just come across this web site. Thanks for posting your opinion.
I hope and pray that those evil lowlife are caught soon.
We could flood a few social networking websites with some short statement about the rape. Especially the crocky and nogsy gang hangouts on YouTube ect.
If any of the Post or Echo journalists are reading this - why not ask the police, through the freedom of information act if needs be, how many cases of rape and sexual assault, with more than one offender, have been recorded over the past 5 years?
I’ve counted 3 so far, including the rape reported here.
The other two were two men from the South End, and 3 Iraqi refugees, which involved raping a prostitute.
There may be more not reported. London is rife with this - maybe we’ve got a hidden gang rape problem also.
There was also a sexual assault with 7 men in Sutton, St Helens, reported on the Merseyside police website.
Details…
“Merseyside Police is investigating an incident, which occurred on 5 September 2007.
A 16-year-old girl walked through ‘the Wash’ onto Leach Lane in Sutton at approximately 9.30 pm. The Wash is a wooded area with a pathway running through and is used as a shortcut from Mill Lane to Leach Lane.
Approximately 6-7 men surrounded the woman and she was physically assaulted by one of the men, whilst the others looked on.
The group left the scene in the direction of Clock Face.
One man is described as white, approximately 19 years of age, blonde hair, around 6ft tall, slim build and was wearing a black Nike Tracksuit. A second man is described as white, brown hair, had a goatee beard and was wearing a white vest and black striped shorts. A further man was wearing a stripey jumper and another has a large tattoo on his calf.
Detective Constable Ian Plant said: “Whilst the woman has been left severly traumatised by this ordeal, incidents of this nature are very rare. Patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide a reassuring presence and visible deterrent. It was a dreadful thing to have happened and I would appeal to anyone who has information to contact us.”
“incidents of this nature are very rare”
But its not rare, and senior high flying police tell us this.
From the Guardian…
“The Metropolitan police are worried - enough to examine the statistics on 123 incidents in three London boroughs, involving over 900 assailants (including four gang rapes around the same school). Enough for Sapphire, the Met’s three-year-old specialist rape unit, to recognise gang rape as a separate phenomenon, needing specific attention. Enough for a senior officer, Commander John Yates, tipped as a future commissioner, to speak on behalf of the Met on the issue.”

The evidence re the rapist having green eyes is important - and its only just struck me that not many people have green eyes.
I’m looking for more precise figures, but globally its, less than 2% with green eyes. Could be a real good one to push.
Some nations, Hungary apparently, have genetic traits which mean 20% have green eyes but I’m sure a professor in Lpool Uni could give a figure for percentage of people with green eyes in Liverpool. I’d say around the 2 to 5% mark.
Then you narrow it down to people with Northway Jackets - bit of a clique thing there.
Maybe a police E-Fit with green eyes (even if its a blur) would impact on some Daily Post or Echo reader.
Has their been an E-Fit?
Surely, we’d expect that to be carried out, as soon as it was possible.
No E-fit - is this good enough?
Absolutely nothing has been done regarding e fit.
The police even stopped me going on radio with all the descriptions and the eye colour to appeal for help within days of the incident, saying they had a potential witness and I may jeopardise the inquiry.
They didn’t even want to it to go to press…
“because of the recent shooting of poor Reece it would not benefit the public to know.”
Words from Lee Turner CID Lower Lane.
Today I have written to Maria Eagle and await a reply.
We will never give up!
From the Parents of the teenager who was held down and raped in broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon while going to the shop.
We are emotionally distraught and cannot still come to terms with what these beast have to done to our daughter, yet CID LOWER LANE have still not made any attempt to find these animals.
I have spoken to Lee Forrester CID LOWER LANE on 23rd Oct about forensic evidence he said he would get back in touch.
We are now at Wed 31st Oct and I have left 3 messages on answer phone for him or some to contact me and let me know what is happening. I have still had no reply.
We as a family have been failed by the police, we have made an official complaint and typical of the police they look after there own. Well I am looking after my own my daughter who should be put on a pedestal, she has got more back bone for coming forward than any CID OFFICER AT LOWER LANE.
If the police think that this is the end they can think again I will carry on until i get some form of justice for my daughter and all rape victims who get treated in this way by CID OFFICERS.
Thank you for your support.
We have a few options open to us at the moment.
Will update you as soon as I can.
Would be grateful if you could submit details to other websites appealing for any information.
Supporting people is what Liverpool has always done.
As for putting the appeal out on other websites - that’s easy to do.
Consider it done.
Anyone who wants to join in this campaign, feel free to make suggestions.
In the next post, I’ll outline a few tactics.
The investigation into this is a disgrace. This is much more incompetence than the catalogue of mistakes in the De Menezes case. This should be put to parliment in a question by the childs MP.
I’ve just republished this on indymedia world.
Here’s a reply from Indymedia…
self defence& the law
02.11.2007 22:32
Where I live in Nottingham I work with local neighbourhood watch with community support of all ages.
You can bet there are kids who have an idea of who did it, keep going, shame the gits.
I regularly stand up to thugs or bullies in the area & often get community support, local pubs have regular neighbourhood meetings etc whilst working with some of the community liaison police when necessary we are very sceptical of the “legal system”.
Maybe you can do a photo description flyer of the gangleader with green eyes and post it in local shops.
I would’nt advice carrying an ice pick thou, I have to have various tools in my car for work, but after picking a friend up who was falsely arrested protesting the biggest corporate arms fair in the world I was charged for having a small knife, hammer axe, which I had with several large solar panels, stakes and rope. I’ve been charged for carrying a extendible baton in a camping bag after getting gang attacked on holiday before too so they could have made it stick and given me a few months.
Girls very often have to carry sharp dressing scissors and police advice their own to carry these, a strong chain with something heavy on it like a bottle opener is good for self defence and self defence only.
Law on offensive weapons here.
The law does not consider all sharp objects to be offensive weapons and the restrictions do not apply to:
folding pocket knives with a blade of less than 3 inches, or razor blades permanently held in a cartridge or similar housing.
Articles such as scissors or compasses.
The law states that offensive weapons are deemed to be the following:
knives, knife blades or razor blades, axes
Any article which has a blade, or which is sharply pointed and which is made or adapted for causing injury to the person.
You should not sell any of these items to anyone under the age of 16 – even if they appear to be older.
On the streets, I personally used to like carrying a big didgereedoo about or a heavy metal fire staff for entertainment, its amazing how useful they can be.
Best option often is to encourage people to ride bikes more too, I started riding bikes again when I was 17-18 when I had to go through areas I knew rough gangs operated.
Pressure your MP too, police are more and more political these days
JJ
Heres a new story on Indymedia.
The Division Bell
James Jones | 03.11.2007 02:39
Used by parliament to separate the those for the current government and those against. But in real life there is a division bell ringing to separate those that know the real streets from the ones who think they do,that being those that govern us all.
For me the division bell came with the death of Rhys Jones.
Then shortly after the brutal rape by the same gang of a 15 year old child. Further to that the lack of an investigation by Merseyside police, not including the poor forensic investigation of the crime scene of the murder of the child Rhys Jones and the connection with paid off cops.
Cops that crawled on hands and knees, without metal detectors for a week and never found a single bullet of three. Abysmal is not a word good enough to describe the performance of this force that claims to have reduced crime.
But also the worse than abysmal investigation into the rape of a 15 year old child by the same crew responsible for the shooting of Rhys. You may say it was the Crocky crew killed Rhys. But as far as I’m concerned them and their opposites the noggadogs, and their family’s, and relations are all to blame.
Now the division Bell is this. Kill them all. By all I mean them and their family’s. No prisoners. Fu** the cops. Time to do justice ourselves. I don’t believe a word the cops say any more.
It’s time for us to own and use our own guns.
Thankyou for all your information it is greatly appreciated.
Anyone out there with any information, PLEASE help us.
Was there any DNA taken? It’s a knap these lowlifes will have a record. If it was’nt taken i would recommend Brodie solicitors and sue the ass off the cops. It’s no substitute for justice but a couple of hundred thousand pounds will give your grandaughter a safe and secure future.

Its hard to get hold of some software as its just designed for government to catch who they want.
I repeat, if Cherie Blair had been the victim, we’d have seen the CID salute and jump through hoops.
The E-Fit would have been released.
Scene of crime sealed, investigated.
Appeals on local radio given a go ahead.
Get your daughter a rape alarm
The article on legal weapons is good. We’ll look into tactics there - see if any online videos exist of how to use a simple handbag item to do some damage.
A personal [rape] alarm is cheap as hell and at 130 decibels, that’s 20 decibels louder than the front row of a rock concert.
Girls in local schools are not prepared - not told.
Many dads and mums in Liverpool are unaware this gang rape occurred. Many are unaware of the 2 previous gang rapes in our city and possibly more covered up.
Many are unaware the London and other areas have so many gang rapes that its normal for the local youth to stay quiet.
Any area full of rapists should see the armed forces go in and DNA test every male.
For £12 you can get this, see link.
http://www.bugspray.com/catalog/products/page1525.html
Then put a pack of cayenne pepper and a pack of capsicum pepper in a jug.Add 1.5 pints of water and bring to boil while stirring constantly.Let cool. Then add another .5 of a pint. Then strain through fine cloth.Fill the aerosol and you have a pepper spray twice as powerful as Mace.Any would be rapist will be rendered totaly defenceless while the victim kicks his balls to chutney.
From the Observer…
link here
“Britain’s biggest ever investigation into gang rape is being launched by Scotland Yard. About 2,000 old cases will be re-examined and victims who have stayed silent will be urged to report attacks.
The ‘cold-case reviews’ have been ordered after an interim report revealed that a hard core of muggers carry out an alarming number of gang rapes in London, with an average of one attack for every day of the last year.”
Here is the real sickening part of the article about a disturbing culture of gangs using rape to make sure people are not ‘grasses’ or to initiate them into the gang.
If the Noggas or Crocky Eds are doing this - we need to put it on the front page of the local papers.
“Officers from Operation Sapphire say many gangs use these attacks for a dual purpose: as part of an initiation ceremony and to ensure new members are not police informants. This echoes the findings of a survey by the Youth Justice Board which uncovered anecdotal evidence of girls being forced into group sex as part of gang initiations in inner-city estates across the country.”
The London police are at least doing something to take gang rape seriously.
We’re just burying our heads in the sand over it and leaving a generation of girls out there who are in danger of being raped by local youth.
The kids who played together in school are now going to funerals or court or prison. The incident of gang rape points to the possibility of more schoolgirls who have not come forward to tell of some hideous gang initiation.
There are videos on YouTube of abuse being hurled at local girls - assaults (pushed over, one pushed into a canal) plus sexual slurs.
More horrific still is that some women out there will be protecting the green eyed rapist, and his Northface jacket wearing ‘mates’.
I agree on seeking legal advice - other suggestion is good as - but Rex Makin also seems to be another solicitor who has won cases for clients when the police are involved.
We thank you all for all your help and kind words…………we have an ace up our sleeves.
WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED
spitthedog i couldnt agree with you more, kill the lot of them.
Police are a joke they only pick on the weak ones.
Sorry to say but there’s nothing left in Liverpool no more for our kids.
Our great city is well and truly gone, my heart goes out to that poor girl and her family, Godbless xx

More than 150 people attended a vigil for an American teenager who was raped at knifepoint in Londonderry, Ireland this weekend.
People left candles at the base of what is called ‘Free Derry Corner’ to express their outrage and to send a message of sympathy to the victim.
An 18 yr old has already been arrested.
The police in Derry won’t fob us off.
admin. If your gonna post this all over the web then at least keep it front page.Scrolling down to comment on a “comments here ” ain’t good enough.
Spit, your so right about the story not being easily accessed - it just never got mentioned before.
Apologies for that.
This only goes to prove that we can all make mistakes. And it is a big mistake for a local website to do what we did. Any one person reading this website could give us the clues that nail these nasty hooded little lowlife.
You’ll notice I’ve put up a small alert on the left side, near the top. Also a link to the main story. Thanks for the prompt.
Note the prompt action by the Irish to make a stand?
Think the ‘disbanded’ I.R.A. are going to sit back as rape is committed? Lads here who laugh at the local police and even front the gangsters - would be in a different ball park in Ireland. The Irish would have probably persuaded the killer of Rhys to hand himself in the same night. So would the Loyalists I suspect.
Would local people or groups not have a vigil to protest the gang rape which took place?
I’m sure churches, political radicals (honest people of any persuasion!) and others would turn up if the event was widely publicised.
Just a thought.
England and Wales have the lowest rape conviction rate in Europe at 5.7%
heres one from the bbc
“A man has been charged with raping a teenager who fell to her death from a motorway bridge days just after the alleged attack.
Sara Clark, 18, was found dead under the bridge on the M27 motorway near Southampton, Hampshire, on 2 June.
Jagat Mawari, 30, of Goodwood Gardens, Calmore, is due to appear at New Forest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.”
Miss Clark, from Totton, Hampshire, was allegedly attacked as she returned from a night out with friends.
Her parents said at the time they felt their daughter had killed herself because officers had not believed her and had not taken the allegations of the assault on 30 May seriously.
The claims by the family have been refuted by Hampshire police.
An Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Miss Clark is continuing.
Police ARE negelcting to tackle serious crime
From the Times, the police’s own troubleshooter blows the whistle…
“Police are neglecting to tackle serious, violent crimes and focusing instead on more minor offences as they strive to meet government targets, the man charged with shaping the future of policing in England and Wales has admitted.
Peter Neyroud, chief executive of the National Policing Improvement Agency, said that over the past five years police had focused on increasing the number of “offences brought to justice”. But the former chief constable admitted that this meant that catching a murderer carried no more importance than apprehending someone who had stolen a bottle of milk.
“There has been, in the minds of many professionals, me included, a neglect of the serious,” Mr Neyroud said. “Because detecting a stolen milk bottle counts the same as detecting a murder . . . you get your points from, not necessarily milk bottles, but certainly in mid-range, volume crime, rather than serious crime.”
Does any body know if DNA CONTACT evidence can be extracted after 3 days? Would be very grateful for accurate information.
Q: How long after a crime can DNA evidence be collected?
A: DNA is a wonderfully stable molecule. Researchers have been able to recover
usable DNA from Egyptian mummies thousands of years old. Each individual
strand of DNA is made of strong, unreactive bonds. The strands of DNA twist around
each other to form the well-known double helix, concealing weaker hydrogen
bonds in the middle of the molecule. There are so many billions of hydrogen
bonds that even though one is not strong by itself, the cumulative effect is
strong enough to keep DNA intact.
admin.your site is now reporting that additional plugins are required.I can see everything on the page so i’d look into flash about it.
ps.
you do know once you begin to make an impact they’ll try to fuck your site?,sorry about the f
Nannymo - only just seen your request.
DNA as pointed out above can be taken after long periods of time.
Contact DNA for police evidence, can also be taken literally years after the crime. The only danger is cross contamination - as some contact DNA might be skin off a fingerprint or (recent case) an ear print. Contact DNA in rape cases is different to hair or skin and therefore less easy to explain away. The recent case of Lesley Molseed shows DNA taken in 1975 is still very much viable. That DNA was taken from sperm found on the murdered girls clothes. The last man jailed for her murder was framed then freed after 16 yrs of hell. (Stefan Kiszko)
The UK police have THE biggest DNA database in the world. Anyone arrested on all but the most minor of offences will be swabbed and put into the system. I mean ANY arrestable offence. 5.2% of the UK population is on it so far.
I’d imagine many of the gang members are on the Merseyside section of the NDNAD.(National DNA Database) You can barely be in a gang without being arrested for something. Rapists in packs will more than likely be in the NDNAD for a variety of offences.
Bear in mind that even if a not guilty verdict is given or no charges offered - the DNA is kept. ONLY the the Chief Constable can agree to take it out of the system.
So rape is easier to actually detect these days. It could often be a case of the police getting a DNA map of the material you have and them running it through the NDNAD which is computerised and can be left running whilst people get on with other things, I presume.
Not sure how long it takes to get a match, but if we narrowed it down to the postcodes surrounding the scene of the crime (many of these rapes are committed on home ground) it could flag up some lowlife in about the same time as a judge could slam his gavel down.
I have never posted before but feel as if I have to as I am so disgusted by this story (which I came by accidentally whilst researching Sonae, having never heard it had happened)and the apparent disinterest of the police.
I used to love our city and be proud to come from Liverpool but now I am sorry to say I am ashamed (although I do realise things like this go on all over the world). It is sad to say that I cannot wait to finish uni and try to get out of Liverpool having lived here all of my life, along with my family who will also move as soon as they retire.
I am adamant I will not raise my children in this city.
I have worked in a local prison and found that even the most hardened criminals and feared gangsters in there would not stand for rape, and rapists were at the mercy of other inmates if not housed on the specific wing. How scary is it that young men are now doing this in gangs and laughing about it with each other!
I have to spend over an hour getting trains home from work and changing over past 9 at night and spend the entire time absolutely terrified. People in this city do not feel safe! And while I am doing this, how dis-heartening it is to think that the tax I pay from working is going towards paying for ‘our’ police? (And more than likely, these lowlife’s drug and drink money?)
My question is, however daft this may sound… What is the law regarding a girl carrying mace, pepper spray or any other kind of ‘protection’ etc?
My heart really does go out to this girl and her family, and I hope that they do not give up and these animals are locked up. We should show that we will not stand for this. We should not have to live our lives in fear of scum like this who appear to be above the law.

Thankyou for your support. I will not give up and I am trying my utmost to bring these monsters to justice.
Unfortunately every avenue we turn down there is something stopping us.
I am of the opinion that every Police Officer from the lower ranks to the higher ranks should stand up and be counted and put their views to government on how policing should be done on the streets to get rid of these low life scum.
What happened to undercover policing or does this not exist anymore? Would it breech the criminals human rights as well?
No one cares about the victims rights.
x-ray.It’s illegal to carry or use Mace. But i don’t think any judge would be able to make a Liverpool jury convict a girl who used it in self defence.
I have lost all faith in the justice system and I think they would make an example of her for just even carry mace let alone using it on a preditor.
I must thank you for the brilliant poster, and to all the people who have shown concern for our family at this, the worst time of our entire lives.
WE will never give up until the low life are brought to justice.
Thank you all.
Alison Halford was the UKs first Assistant chief constable - that’s the third highest rank on Merseyside (we have a deputy)
At the time (1983, retired in 92) she was the highest ranking female cop in the U.K.
What is also interesting is her pioneering work in rape counselling with female officers allocated at all times.
From the Liverpool Museum website…
“Alison applied for the post of Assistant Chief Constable on Merseyside because she saw it as a new challenge in her career. With her new role, Alison became the highest-ranking policewoman in the country. Her career had seen many ‘firsts’.
She was the first woman to take operational charge of a police station - Tottenham Court Road, lead instigator in setting up rape crisis centres and helped to set the standard for abused women and children being interviewed by female police officers. Her training strategies were adopted throughout the country. A professional, articulate, independent woman, her career was a major part of her life.”
Although things have changed with the police in many regards,it seems that rape has a different response from various police forces instead of them all adhering to a strict procedure.
Here’s another bit from the Liverpool museum website…
“Alison however, had a hard time fitting in to the old-fashioned and notoriously masculine Merseyside police force. Until that point in her career, she had not really had any experience with discrimination.”
The police were wrong when they were seeing women cops as a periphery of the force. Alison Halford never quite settled in Liverpool because a lot of police were opposed to a female having that high rank.
Whilst the police might say ‘things are different now’ - I doubt the sincerity of that claim with respects to rape. The police’s own masters agree with this and London Met reopened, 2000 cases of gang rape.
Maybe the glut in the system from the filth of London is stopping Liverpool and other cities which don’t actually have this evil culture as part of the landscape.
As stated previously - we’ve covered the topic of gang rape before this incident. I’ve kept my eyes open and ears. Three reported gang rapes in L’pool have been reported. Two were solved - but this one is not even being taken seriously enough to go to the CPS.
In the victims families favour is the political repercussions of this crime not being taken seriously.
One other useful bit of help is to mass email councillors and MPs. Maybe we could do this?
One last point - have you also contacted the Chief Constable?
As rules stand, I believe he is duty bound to reply.
Note, Alison Halford left the force but in 1997, she alleged that her telephones had been tapped, resulting in her winning a case at the European Court of Human Rights against the Home Secretary.
She joined the Labour Party - read the Kirkby Times, tutted at our spelling mistakes then joined the Tories.
The Tories recently spoke out through their leader David Cameron on the issue of rape. I suspect Alison Halford might well have pushed that through.
Thankyou once again, it would be greatfully appreciated if you could e-mail councillors and MPS .
As regards to the Chief Constable already sent him a letter.
His reply was to early in the investigation to get involved.
Sorry admin.
Also been in touch with councillor Ann Himes.
All’s the police keep saying to her is can’t tell you anything it’s an ongoing investigation.
Don’t make me cry what investigation?
I have just come across this article. I agree with an earlier comment that if ADMIN can keep it near the top of the page it may get even better attention. I cannot imagine what the victims or their friends and families are feeling over this and I feel for them.
I have concerns though over a couple of posts in this stream i.e. No’18…. How many knife/gun wielding maniacs have said after having destroyed lives that they ‘only carried it for self defence’. An eye for an eye perhaps, but not a life for an eye.
No’ 32…. Having read this site in all its previous guises it is generally inclusive i.e. never an hint of discrimination to any human being (except those that decide to offer themselves up for election to serve the community!!). This particular contributor, though perhaps giving facts, maybe trying to hijack this issue for their own political ends.
WITH FREE SPEECH COMES RESPONSIBILITY.
Just seen the comment - so sorry for not replying earlier.
If the police are saying it’s an ongoing investigation, they cannot just make it up. This crime ranks very highly in the list of crimes that might be seen as serious.
Furthermore, with the police having made a lot of progress in many departments, the worse way to make the community feel the police don’t care, is too leave you, your family and your daughter in this state.
For instance, in June this year, the police in Wales were reprimanded as senior police chiefs were called to answer for a catalogue of failings in investigating the violent rape of a man by a stranger.
Here’s the basics…
“The Independent Police Complaints Commission criticised the South Wales Police Force for its failure to preserve the crime scene.
At the conclusion of a nine month investigation it accused the force of failing both the victim and the people of south Wales.
The IPCC also criticises the role of individual police officers and makes 18 recommendations to change the way the force operates.
The IPCC was called in after Geoffrey Cole, 60, of Neath, south Wales, complained about the way police handled his stranger rape allegation.”
Another fact that should prompt the government to put more funding into this area of policing is this…
“in 1980, one in three complaints of rape ended in a conviction. Today, it’s one in 20.” (BBC)
One other source of information is the Rape Report:Without Consent published Wed 31 Jan 2007. This Home Office report focuses in part on the police response to rape.
Crime can be termed as ‘no-crimed’ if a certain conditions are met. Even rape can be ‘no-crimed’, but the police cannot just do this without any explanation.
3.10 Under the HOCR, a recorded crime should be ‘no crimed’ if one of the following criteria applies…
It was committed outside the jurisdiction of the recording force.
It constitutes part of a crime already recorded.
If reported incident was recorded as a crime in error.
There is verifiable information that no crime was committed.
Report is here PDF file 1mb+
Good luck and don’t hesitate to ask anything.
Whatever else the police are, they are understaffed. There are bodies piling up in the city and we’re still struggling with the dirty coward from the Crock Eds who thinks Liverpool has abandoned the city to child murderers.
JJ - As for the self defence article - I understand your concerns there in No 18. We’re not glorifying knives and weapons, just looking at whether there are situations in which you could pull something LEGAL out of your pocket to avoid being harmed. The worse possible scenario would be for everyone to carry knives and we need heavy sentancing for those who do.
Sentences for stabbings and other attacks are LAUGHABLE in the UK.
We can never stop others from arguing for self defence. Even with the best policing, the odds of a police officer being there to stop an assault are slim. Even the police have armed themselves with a variety of self defence weapons which clearly show the streets are more dangerous. A copper always had a trucheon - now its sub machine guns, tasers, CS gas, helicopter support, remote controlled drones, stab proof vests and all manner of other gizmnos to help them out.
Oh, and the truncheon also. But amazingly, the kids were more scared of a Bobby circa 1950 with his big wooden truncheon (carved from fossilised trees), his whistle and at least 6 foot of height.
As for the other post [32]- it was checked and verified. The man named is the man charged - the poor girl killed herself, God rest her soul.
Your right as to the websites contributors trying to be impartial and its true that freedom of speech carries a responsibility. The main onus is on the government to accept that men died in their hundreds of thousands so that we can have freedom of speech.
As for anyone trying to twist this thread into any political capital, it won’t happen, we’re ahead of the game there.
maybe it’s time for the family to go to the IPCC.Then the cops may get serious about doing something.Once that ball starts rolling they have to account for every move they make,or don’t.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has a website
Everything is explained regarding how you complain
More here.
But bear in mind that the IPCC advise us that…
“Complaints about the overall policies and procedures of a police force, as well as a number of other issues relating to quality of service or operational decisions do not fall within the remit of the IPCC and should be made to the Chief Constable of the police force concerned or the local police authority”
antiwar or all together now.Sorry to upset your website admin, but why are you trying to load 3 tracking cookies? If your as anti this state as you say you are? Then you need to get real. And stop collecting the very thing got you banned,ip addresses.personal data.Untill you can prove that. Your gonna be seen as the state, hidden but the state all the same,Me ,personally i know your not but the rest of the world?
For anyone wondering, cookies are little files that this and many websites put on your computer – our ones are benign and useful - but they could be used to ‘mine’ data which could be sold on to mainly advertisers.
One cookie is for a CSS theme switcher which is a WordPress plug in, we used that at first when we had lots of banners as tributes. The theme switcher is just a bit of php code that gives you a cookie so it knows what website ‘theme’ you chose last visit. We also had large print – which will go back up soon.
WordPress is an open source blogging publishing platform what we use to ‘make’ this website.
The other 2 cookies are known Wordpress cookies that anyone can verify if they want
They are…
“Your user name
A double-hashed copy of your password” (From WordPress)
If people have not registered (and few actually do) then I presume that they just get the one cookie.
That’s it!
As for some seeing this website as part of the state - there’s another one to add to the list!
Rape trial changes to help victims
From the BBC…
“Juries in rape trials are to be given information about the way an attack can affect a victim’s behaviour - in an attempt to increase conviction rates.
Only 5.7% of reported rapes in England and Wales currently end in conviction.
One common problem is a victim is doubted when a jury cannot understand why she did not attempt to escape the attack or took some time to report it.
The move to explain such reactions is among measures announced by Solicitor General Vera Baird QC.
To tackle jurors’ scepticism, the government wants them to be told it is normal for people not to scream or go straight to the police afterwards - and it does not mean they are lying.
Ms Baird said evidence admissibility rules are to be changed to enable victim statements to be shown to a jury regardless of how long after the attack the complaint to police was made.
“We think it’s part of one of the myths about rape that it’s such a traumatic thing that you will come out and complain about it straight away,” Ms Baird said. “It can take a long time to get up and talk about something so intimate and undermining.”
Historically, a complaint about a rape made quickly have been admitted in court, but complaints made “further away” have not been admissible in the court, she said.

hi, i heard about this story a bit ago, and haven’t heard anything since until i found this website.
This seriously disgusts me, the poor girl, those louts should be thrown in a cell with some big butch fellas and given a taste of their own medicine.
What i really want to know is, could i have a html code of the poster you made, i was hoping i could use it on my myspace or facebook sites, the more exposure the better on the case. The police should be ashamed of themselves. Plus i agree, the lads and their families should be shot, more scum rid of the better.Anyway, hope i get permission to use that pic, i think admin should be able to get my email address.
Julie.
if you down load the poster and open it in explorer or firefox then right clik and go to page source you can copy the html.
Burglary listed on police website but gang rape not
Why is this?
Why indeed…
From Merseyside police website…
“Burglary at footballer’s home
Merseyside Police is appealing for information following a confrontational burglary at the home address of footballer Steven Gerrard.”
There was a shooting in Kirkby on Wednesday - not listed - a sexual assault in Kirkby, not listed. (not the shooting on Ruffwood drive which is listed)
Maybe its who you know and who you are what counts in Liverpool.
As for Steve Gerrard’s wife - we hope she reads this and realises that women in Liverpool might get less help after a gang rape than she has.
Thankfully the attackers were just after her material possessions. For many other women, the creeps with their faces hidden are looking to take more than jewellery.
Gang rape victim in London fighting for life after being raped, beaten and doused in caustic soda
From the Telegraph…
“In a north London suburb last week, a schoolgirl was beaten, gang-raped and then had drain-cleaning fluid poured on her body apparently to destroy DNA evidence. In the eternal cesspit of senseless urban crime, I feel that a dreadful nadir of sorts has been reached, a benchmark of slaked lust and casual, sadistic cruelty.
Police sources say the 16-year-old will never fully recover from the injuries caused by the caustic soda and, at the time of writing, she remains under heavy sedation in a burns unit, fighting for her life.
One could weep an ocean for this young woman, her life ruined by these savages, who hunted in a pack like animals and dragged her to an empty house, caring nothing for her wellbeing or future.
Drain cleaner?
The callous premeditation is shocking, and underlines the fact that some of the rootless delinquents who roam the
London streets are now scraping the bottom of the barrel of humanity.
I’m almost embarrassed to say that the attackers have been described as “five black youths”, in case you think I’m being racist in highlighting this crime.
Yes, these are the peculiar times we live in, particularly in a week when Trevor Phillips, the chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has pointed out that “white flight is accelerating” as Britain becomes increasingly polarised along ethnic lines.
Following the controversy started by the Bishop of Rochester, who said that some Muslim enclaves were “no-go areas” for Christians, it all seems to suggest a country that is becoming increasingly fragmented; a patchwork of rigidly delineated little pockets of race and religion, knots of unyielding humanity who just can’t rub along with each other.
This is not a Britain many of us would care to recognise, or even want to live in, although it is true that certain sectors of the middle class are fleeing from inner London like pashmina-wrapped lemmings, desperate to escape the creeping spread of urban decay.
Last year, nearly a quarter of a million decent, law-abiding citizens packed their bags and left the capital for good, seeking what they hope will be a better life elsewhere. They moved to outer boroughs, other city suburbs, rural areas, abroad, the back end of beyond, anywhere but here.
While their fairytale, roses-around-the-door belief in the safety of the countryside and the romantic ideal of a thatched cottage for two is touching, it does point to an underlying urban unease.”

It makes you think about the death penalty.
And having a police force what cared about rapists on the loose.
The argument about having all the races live together is great - if by choice. Throwing people from nations where gang rape is common into a land where it is not common is going to result in what exactly?
London?
A cess pit is the true description for a city which has gang rape as a regular occurrence.
This is why the scum who raped the 15 yr old in Liverpool need to take out of the community and made an example of.
If they get away with it - other scum will follow the trend.
Any updates on this. It’s been quite a while now.
There’s been a couple of journalists in touch which might help things.
Don’t know about the police.
Maybe some local journalist ought to see if there have been more of these vile attacks.
If any of the journalist can help us, and let us know if there are anymore cases like ours in that area that would help us greatly.
We are at present on going with Merseyside police and as soon as I can update you I will.
Thanks.
This had been emailed out - I’ve omitted some details but they are reserved for those involved.
Here goes…
“Hi there.
I’m a journalist for The People newspaper (it’s a national tabloid and the same company as the Daily Mirror).
I would very much like to speak to the parents of the girl who was attacked in Croxteth.
Could you contact me anytime on ******* From what I have read yours would be a more than worthy cause for our paper. We would also be able to put a lot of pressure on the Merseyside Police investigation.
Thanks very much, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
*******”
Should have put the email up when I first got it, but live and learn, as ever.
has there been a responce to this.
Not yet.
Did this People reporter give his name? just surprised the computer setup at MGN did’nt get used to find out the who, what when and were.
“I’m a journalist for The People newspaper (it’s a national tabloid and the same company as the Daily Mirror).”
None of us here in the UK would know that would we!
Why would a People jurno phrase it like that? While talking to a site read by people who are well aware of what the “People ” is?
A troll methinks.
Maybe he thinks he can distance himself from being thought of as connected too the scum sleazepaper? As you know most journo,s are like Hughie Green and I mean that most sincerely folks…!!
Rape Crisis for Merseyside
I coordinate Rape Crisis for Merseyside…….In the 12 months to 31-03-08, Merseyside Police had 260 reports of rape/sexual assault. In the same period, we had 460 and only 5 of those had reported to the police. Rape convictions are as rare as diamonds on Crosby beach, but at least we can help the victims move on with their lives.
If you or anyone you know has been raped at any time in their lives, we will help them. We wont judge. We wont blame.
We will listen and we will help.
Link to website here
We thank you all for still showing concern for our family. Upon reading your remark about getting a conviction for rape.I wonder did the police make any inquiries regarding the 5 who reported their allegations. Did they stop their families making their own enquiries. I would be more than interested to hear of any other female who have been through this horrendous ordeal and how the police dealt with their allegation.
We will fight to the end ………..
